ESAD is present in Portugal Fashion | Bloom FW21/22, with the collections Papers and Croquis, by Ana Rita Martins and Marta Costa, students of the Degree in Fashion Design.

The Bloom platform intends to provide new creators with shows in a more informal, urban and multi-artistic environment. #SOFAEDITION is the title of this 100% digital edition: the videos of the Bloomers collections, in online format, takes place on April 22, at 5:30 pm.

Ana Rita Martins presents the Papers collection, inspired by elements of the Pastelaria Martins, founded by her grandparents in 1983. Paper Shapes is a reflection of the pastry shop environment and paper shapes. The pastry chef uniforms brought more traditional elements to the collection, such as the double-breasted, classic collars and lined buttons. The creation of pleats of various sizes and shapes arise naturally by their three-dimensionality.

Marta Costa presents Croquis, inspired by the song The Unanswered Question, by composer Charles Ives. Its sound language inspired the creation of a metaphorical journey that represents a personal discovery, through self-acceptance and the redefinition of new forms, silhouettes and with new ways of perceiving reality. The collection was developed from the deconstruction of the pieces.

Also Marcelo Almiscarado, Unflower Brand (Ana Sousa and Joana Braga), Carolina Sobral, Rita Sá and Victor Huarte, all ESAD alumni, will be present at the 48th edition of Portugal Fashion, on April 23 and 24.
