The latest issue of PLI arte & design, a publication of ESAD, is presented on the 27th. Dedicated to the theme of Enthusiasm, in this PLI it is possible to recognize a desire to assert the power of art and design in times of crisis.
This is a double issue (numbers 2/3), which has a wide range of national and international collaborators like Steven McCarthy, Paolo Deganello, Luís Miguel Castro, Brad Freeman, Kiluanji Kia Henda, Mário Moura or Atelier do Corvo, a total of 36 authors linked to the areas of design, architecture, photography and contemporary thought.
Besides the content, spread over more than 200 pages, this issue stands out for its formal dimension that makes it a true design piece (with art direction of João Martino, from the prestigious studio Martino&Jaña), integrating 5 different formats, different types of paper and exploring various graphics solutions with a great visual power.
The launch of the magazine is accompanied by an installation project, an exhibition entitled If we are to face up the challenge of the crisis of the arts, it would be through the recognition that our potential lies beyond the the threshold of ther possible.
The magazine will be available at FNAC and at other bookshops across the country, as well as at the online bookshop of ESAD.
