ESAD is participating in the 'Design Workshop - Meerschaum Eskişehir', as part of the 3rd edition of PiCoDe - International Collective Design Project.

PiCoDe is an academic collaboration between Lodz University of Technology (Poland); ESAD - School of Art and Design (Portugal); Eskisehir Osmangazi University (Turkey) and the College for Creative Studies (USA).

Bárbara Morais, student of the Degree in Fashion Design, and Júlio Teixeira, student of the Master in Product Design, were selected to participate in this 3rd edition of the project.

The workshop took place from 26 September to 8 October 2022 at Eskisehir Osmangazi University (Turkey). With the aim of developing a collaborative project, the participants worked with the President of the Eskişehir Association and Promotion and Tourism and the Master of Meerschaum, Talat Urersoy.

This edition will use the Collective Method, a teaching and learning method based on the collective experience of professionals from various creative fields.

The 1st edition took place at the University of Lodz (Poland), in October 2021, and the second at ESAD, in May 2022, with the participation of several ESAD students (Marta Vieira, Guilherme Matos, Catarina Miranda, Guilherme Simões, Isabella Andrade, Ivan Garcia, Julie De Clercq and Gabriela Fragueiro).

This workshop is part of a three-year research project, supported by the ERASMUS+ programme, aiming to explore alternative teaching and learning methods that prepare students for future employment alliances.
