ESAD participates in PACKPLAY2, at the invitation of the Université du Québec (UQAM). PACKPLAY2 is an international competition for design schools, in which ESAD participates with packaging projects developed in recent years by Packaging class students, led by the teachers Margarida Azevedo and João Lemos.

PACKPLAY2 aims to promote research and innovation in the ecodesign of packaging and brings together the most varied projects selected from several universities - Canada, the United States, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Finland, Italy, India and Portugal - that develop specific eco-packaging projects.

The winning projects will be announced at the opening of the PACKPLAY2 exhibition, Do we need more packaging?, At the World Design Summit, at the Palais des Congrès in Montréal, on October 17th. Simultaneously to the event, will be published a publication that includes the text The package will be essential for the existance, by Margarida Azevedo.
