
Júlio Vanzeler and Helena Costa, textile designers from OSDM - O Segredo do Mar, present an open class as part of the optional subject Patterns and Printing, of the Degree in Fashion Design.
OSDM, created in 2005, is a global design and production company, based in Porto, which gathers a team of experts connected to nationally and internationally recognized brands. Conceived to cover all phases of the textile manufacturing process, the company has followed the evolution of the markets in terms of creativity, agility and innovation.
At the same time, Júlio Vanzeler is also an illustrator. He collaborates with Teatro e Marionetas do Porto, as an illustrator and puppet maker. He has illustrated several children's books, such as Clarinha (Asa, 2019), Trocas e Baldrocas (Asa, 2017), Maria Pandorca (Asa, 2015), O Gato e a Rainha Só (Caminho, 2005) or A Cor do Céu (Campo das Letras, 2005), among many others. He is the author, with Luís da Matta Almeida, of the short animation film The Giant, among the three finalists for the Goya award in 2014.
The open class takes place in the ESAD auditorium on 15 December at 2:00 pm.
