Mariana Rio, ESAD's lecturer, won an honourable mention at the National Prize for Illustration with her book Diosario.

The National Prize for Illustration, created in 1996, is an initiative of the Directorate-General of Books, Archives and Libraries (DGLAB). In this 26th edition, DGLAB's jury was composed by José Teófilo Duarte, Dora Batalim and Ana Marta Araújo. This edition had 65 works by 56 illustrators.
