Made (material designers)

MaDe (Material Designers) integrates a competition, a series of events and an international workshop to boost the positive impact that product designers can have on all creative sectors.

Co-financed by the European Creative Arts Program, this international workshop aims to boost talents for the circular economies across Europe, in partnership with various cultural and design institutions such as Elisava, Ma-tt-er, Politecnico di Milano, with the participation of ESAD.

Product designers can design, redesign, reform, reuse, and redefine materials, giving them a whole new purpose. By increasing the potential of materials, they can also research, advise, educate and communicate what materials are and what they can be in the immediate, near and distant future, implementing positive social, economic, political and environmental changes in all sectors for a future designed with responsibility.

Lucio Magri, professor at ESAD, and Joaquim Oliveira and Mauro Silva, students of the Master in Product Design at ESAD, participate in the MaDe workshop held at the Polytechnic of Milan, Italy, which runs from April 1 to 5.
