This year with the motto Design for a Better Tomorrow - Anticipate. Innovate. Captivate, the LEXUS Design Award will be presented at ESAD/School of Arts and Design - to the student community and to all external stakeholders - next Thursday, September 27, at 2:30 p.m., in the school auditorium.

Brimmet Silva and Ana Fonseca, creators of DIGITALAB, a design and architecture workshop, are the Portuguese duo who were among the eight finalists awarded in the 2018 edition, among hundreds of applications from all around the world.

Launched in 2013, the LEXUS Design Award is an international competition for creators from around the world. Innovation and design are the key components of the brand LEXUS, which believes in the power of creativity to change the world and build a better future.

The finalists/winners of the LEXUS Design Award 2019 will get the opportunity to work with prestigious professionals and they also will receive up to $ 25,000 in funding to develop a prototype of the project presented, traveling to Milan Design Week to exhibit their work. The contest is open for submissions until October 28.

In this LEXUS/ESAD Design Day, the school creates an opportunity for the students and all interested parts to bring their personal designs, models, renderings or design sketches, which in any way relate to the requirements set by the LEXUS Design Award, so that they can be discussed and improved with the support of the school teachers, so that they can be submitted to the competition.
