Jorge Colombo was born in Lisbon in 1963 and is living in USA since 1989. He has worked as an illustrator, photographer and graphic designer.

In Portugal he has signed illustrations for newspapers, books and disks and was the first graphic director of O Independente. In the USA he has been graphic director of publications such as NewCity, San Francisco, and for the group magazines Jungle Media.

His illustrations make part of a consistent list of publications, which includes Fast Company, The New York, The New York Times, The Village Voice or The New Yorker. After several years working with pens and watercolors, in 2009 Jorge Colombo began to create his paintings and drawings with his finger, using an iPhone or iPad, and that’s all he uses today.

The conference of Jorge Colombo is organized under the 1st edition of the Postgraduate course in Illustration and Digital Animation. It will take place at the ESAD’s auditorium, on 20th May, at 16h. Free entry.
