
As part of the ESAD 2019 Week, a series of talks on Contemporary Jewellery is held, with the presence of jewellers Carlos Silva, Marta Costa Reis and Valentim Quaresma.
Program
Carlos Silva
Carlos studied jewellery in Ar.Co - Visual Art and Communication Center. He is the ambassador of Portugal in the Art Jewelry Forum, an online platform to promote contemporary jewellery. Participates regularly in national and international exhibitions, symposiums and workshops.
Marta Costa Reis
Marta studied jewellery at Ar.Co - Visual Art and Communication Center and at the Lisbon School of Design. Her works are available at the Reverse Gallery (Lisbon), In The Pendant (Porto), the Alice Floriano Gallery (Porto Alegre, Brazil) and Gallery O (Seoul, South Korea). She's a member of PIN – Associação Portuguesa de Joalharia Contemporânea.
Valentim Quaresma
Valentim studied at the António Arroio Art School and at Ar.Co - Visual Art and Communication Center and worked with Ana Salazar from 1990 to 2010. In 2008, Valentim won the Accessories Collection of the Year award at ITS#7 (Trieste, Italy). He presents his collections regularly at ModaLisboa (Lisbon), Bread and Butter (Barcelona), Fashionclash (Maastricht), [moment] and Cesis Fashion Art Festival (Riga), Bijorhca (Paris), MoBa13 (Arnhem) or Manupulating Surface – Portuguese Craftmanship (London).
