The furniture project TRUFF, conceived by Francisca Frutuoso and Bernardo Gomes, students of the Master in Product Design, won second prize in the Guilherme Award 2019/2020 - Home Space Equipment and Product Design Competition.

The Guilherme Award competition, organized by Associative Design, aims to encourage design students to develop products for the Home space, based on innovation, technology, design and sustainability.

The winning project proposes a furniture proposal for the next millennial user. The ideas and concepts, based on possible future social scenarios, aim to provide flexibility in use, through the application of innovative materials.

Besides Francisca and Bernardo, Rúben Silva, student of the Master in Product Design, won the 2nd prize in the AD Challenge'19 for the professional sector.

In 2016, Jeremy Aston, coordinator of the Degree and Masters in Product Design, won 1st prize in the Industries category of the Guilherme Award. Students Lara Zudaire and Marina Godoy received an Honorable Mention in the Undergraduate Students category, and selected as finalists were Renata Laranjeira, Mariana Greno, Inês Amorim, Akvilé Kontautaité, Hélène Lambrecht and Alessia Civetta, 3rd year Interior Design students, and Diogo Pimenta and Mariana Sarabanda, Product Design Master's students.
