Gianluca Monaco, a designer and the creator of Vacanza Studio, presents the lecture Design, Art and Technology under the Postgraduate Course in Information Driven Design.
His practice stands at the intersection between design, art and technology. As a designer, he tends to observe, question and transform inputs into outputs; tens to avoid labels, to evade boundaries, to challenge standard expectations. He likes writing code as much as performing manual actions that are meant to be executed by a machine. He uses language – in a broader sense – as a tool to frame, explain, entertain, understand, reflect, suggest, evoke and control.
