Espaço Associative Design, organized by Associative Design - AIMMP, is a furniture design action that showcases the best of Portugal.
Postgraduate students from Furniture Design were invited to show their projects to the general public and industry, alongside other Portuguese furniture brands, at Quartel da Serra do Pilar, in Vila Nova de Gaia.
The furniture prototypes on display were the result of a workshop, held during ESAD Week 2018, to explore the famous De Stijl blue and red Mondrian chair. This challenge encouraged students to reinterpret and reproduce the chair, respecting the use of beech wood a joinery.
