Emílio Remelhe (Barcelos, 1965) is a professor at ESAD and at the Escola Artística Soares dos Reis. He has a degree in Painting and a Masters in Drawing Practice and Theory by the Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto.

He works in the areas of visual arts, illustration and literature and has his work published at Edições Gémeo, Livros do Oriente, Malasartes, Águas Furtadas, Revista Mãos, DP Photographer, Campo das Letras, Caminho, Deriva, Revista UP, Revista Macau, Civilização, Porto Editora, RTP/Canal 2 and Edições Eterogémeas.

He has conducted writing and design workshops in collaboration with several institutions such as public and school libraries, Reitoria da Universidade do Porto, Centro Cultural de Belém and Museu de Serralves.

Under the pseudonym Eugénio Roda he has a partnership with illustrator Gémeo Luis in preparing an album for children. He was nominated for the award Prémio Autores 2010 by the Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores with the book Azul Blue Bleu (publisher Eterogémeas).

He is represented in public and private collections at the museum of Faculdade de Belas Artes do Porto, ANACOM, World Trade Center Macau, Instituto Português do Oriente and Museu Amadeo de Souza-Cardoso.
