
Paul Hardman is a communication designer, illustrator, author, and researcher. Since 2016 he has run Studio And Paul, creating many projects in cultural fields, such as the visual identities for Criatek: Festival of Creativity and Digital Technology; Linha de Fuga: Festival of Performing Arts; and for the theatre company Teatrão, designing the images for all of its original productions. His illustration practice includes the books Palavras Viageiras and O Pequeno País dos Frutos by João Pedro Mésseder and he authored the children’s book, A Almoçarada do Billy Bolly, published by Xerefé.
His graphic works have been exhibited internationally, including the London Anti-Design Festival, **Kemistry Gallery, Ficciones Typografika, the Trnava Poster Triennial, the Golden Bee Graphic Design Biennale, TPAM International festival of theatrical posters; and featured in publications such as Whatever Next: A Discourse on Typography and Slanted Magazine.
Paul Hardman's talk at ESAD's auditorium on 10 January at 14:30 is entitled Studio And Paul - Almost a Map.
ESAD Open Talks are part of the programme of lectures and intensive workshops of the Master's Degree in Communication Design.
