As part of Art On Chairs, ESAD is represented in Beijing Design Week 2014 in Beijing, China, from 18 September to 9 October. Curated by José Bártolo, the second edition of DUETS reflects the meeting of 11 designers and 11 international personalities, in 11 chairs produced by Paredes region furniture industries. The final pieces will be auctioned in Beijing by China Guardian Auctions and the results will be donated to UNHCR/The UN Refugee Agency.

From 22 to 27 October several business meetings between Paredes entrepreneurs, Art on Chairs curators/coordinators and relevant Chinese companies and creative industries related institutions will be held in Beijing.

The connection between Art On Chairs and Beijing Design Week is made by Casa International, and it is coordinated by Emanuel Barbosa, Creative Director of the magazine and International Coordinator of ESAD Matosinhos. After Beijing, Art On Chairs will be presented in Singapore, Paris and Milan.
