ESAD in cooperation with CAFA - Central Academy of Fine Arts, in Beijing, is currently in China with 3 teachers and 11 students developing a workshop for Future Learning Spaces, created by the school to promote the integration and exchange of teachers and students.

The students participating are João Oliveira, Mariana Pinhão, Tomás Lobo, Francisca Pereira, Hugo Cardoso, Joana Moreira, Pedro Menéres, Azahara Rubio (Product and Interior Design), Eliska Skarolková (ERASMUS), Flávio Moura and Susana Lucena (Digital Arts and Multimedia and Communication Design). The teachers are Jeremy Aston, João Cruz and Emanuel Barbosa.

This intensive international programe will be supported by Casa International, an important Chinese design magazine based in Beijing, partner of ESAD in the Chinese market. This is the first of many actions to take place in partnership with Chinese institutions, both in Portugal and China. Integrated in the internationalisation project of ESAD.
