The ESAD CINE TALKS are intended to be a space for meeting and exchanging ideas with prestigious national and international professionals, who present their paths, processes and projects of reference, in the context of the Degree in Digital and Multimedia Arts.

Gustavo Carreiro With a degree in Digital and Multimedia Arts from ESAD, where he currently teaches, Gustavo Carreiro is an animation director, illustrator and videographer. Co-founder of FAVO Studio, a Production Company that mixes Illustration, video and animation in its projects, he unfolds his visual language in prints, murals and ceramics. From his professional career, highlights include collaborations with Netflix, Nike, Bloomerang, Câmara Municipal de Matosinhos, IBM and Vox Media.

Marta Reis Andrade.
Internationally recognised animation director, Marta Reis Andrade lived in London between 2017 and 2018, where she collaborated with companies such as BBC, Google and CNN. Currently, she collaborates with BAP Animation Studios, in Porto. From her professional path we can also highlight several animation workshops, namely International Animation Conference (SAS Conference, 2019), and the collaboration in Fontevraud as resident artist (2020).

Nuno Rocha
Film director, screenwriter and producer, Nuno Rocha is the author of several award-winning short films, including 3x3, Vicky and Sam and Moments. In 2010, he co-founded the production company FilmesDaMente. In 2016, he directed his first feature film A Mãe é Que Sabe, one of the most watched Portuguese films of that year, achieving two Sophia awards, as well as best Portuguese film at the Spanish festival Reino de León. He is currently finishing a new short film, entitled A Sinfonia.

The first edition of ESAD CINE TALKS takes place on 31st March, between 14:30 and 17:00, in classroom S1.16.
