
Beatriz Mesquita, student of the Master in Communication Design, integrates the shortlist of 8 finalist teams selected by the national committee of the ECOTROPHELIA Portugal Award 2023. This selection aims to determine the winning team that will represent Portugal in Ecotrophelia Europe 2023.
The competition, promoted by PortugalFoods, challenges students, teachers, researchers and professionals in the sector to reflect on the eco-innovative products of the future, with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship and competitiveness in the agro-food sector, at national and European level. The jury, made up of figures representing the agri-food sector and experts in food innovation, will evaluate each of the finalist projects, according to the Regulations of the ECOTROPHELIA Portugal 2023 Award, and the winning team will be known on July 4, at the event organised at Alfândega do Porto.
The packaging design and product identity system project APPETITO (a savoury biscuit with tomato filling), an institutional partnership between ESAD and the School of Biotechnology of the Portuguese Catholic University, was developed by Beatriz Mesquita (ESAD), Ana Marques and Liliana Ribeiro (UCP).
