Design for social impact with giulio vinaccia

As part of the Italian Design Day 2022 programme in Portugal, the Italian Embassy, ESAD – College of Art and Design and the Italian Institute of Culture invite Giulio Vinaccia, Italian design ambassador, awarded with World Green Design and Compasso d'Oro, for a set of actions linked to social design and sustainability.

In this context, Giulio Vinaccia led the workshop Regeneration: Design for a Sustainable Future, addressing the rational use of raw materials and recycling, within a social design project. Giulio had the the support of coaches Paula Sousa (Munna; Ginger & Jagger) and Patrícia Soares da Costa (Marquinista.pt).

In the afternoon, Giulio Vinaccia presented the lecture Design for Social Impact, sharing his experience as a collaborator of several international organisations and institutions in more than 22 countries, in projects oriented towards social design.

These actions were part of the presentation of ESAD's new training offer – the Postgraduate Course in Design for Social Impact – which aims to provide an in-depth preparation in international projects within the creative industries, with a professional placement in the areas of design, communication, branding and marketing, in local and international non-governmental organisations.
