The exhibition Desenhar: Abordagens de Representação (Drawing: Approaches to Representation) integrates two levels of drawing: the mimetic approach and the graphic diary.

In Escaravelhos will be presented exercises of the application of the mimetic approach to drawing, aiming at reaching the highest objectivity in the graphic representation of objects or images, just as they show up to our perception, reaching for the highest visual capacities and technical skills to execute the proportions. It is appreciated the valuation of the light, the definition of the texture, as well as the experimentation of the color pencils and graphite techniques.

The Diário Gráfico results from an autonomous work of the students and it is presented as an instrument of recognition of the space and its the daily life. An approach to the evolution in time, in method and in the used materials; the drawing as an operative manner, but also as a way of thinking; the recording of memories, from real to imaginary.

The works on view are made by the classes 2’1, 2’2, 2’4 and 2’9, within the curricular discipline Desenho II, coordinated by Joana Rêgo and Paulo Oliveira.
