As part of the partnership between ESAD and the concept store THE Design, students from the BA in Fashion Design are developing, for the fifth time, a collection within the THE concept. The THE concept consists of a desire to create something original and timeless, outside the trend market.

The CREATOR ESAD@THE work proposal is based on the THE Design identity, highlighting the importance of brand communication, from concept to the collections presentation, definition of the clothing finishes and styling.

The selected works, presented at THE Design store, from October 9th to December 31st, 2020, are now exhibited at ESAD, from January 11th to March 8th, 2021.

The exhibition presents the projects representative of the creativity, critical sense and technical skills that students have achieved throughout their degree. In odd times like these, this project recalls the importance of enhancing the debate on the role of design, arts and fashion, from a perspective of experimentation, transversality and questioning the needs of the future.

Note also the partnership with Costamendes, the duo formed by Liliana Mendes and Duarte Costa, responsible for the photographic creation.
