Tipobicho, a project developed by the student Minna Miná Rolim, under the scope of the Master in Communication Design, was selected to integrate the 9th edition of CONFIA - International Conference on Illustration and Animation, which will take place in Aveiro, on October 29th 2021.

O projeto foi apresentado em Aveiro pela estudante Minna Miná Rolim e pelos docentes Margarida Azevedo e João Lemos, em formato paper.

CONFIA is organized by the School of Design of the IPCA - Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, under the scope of the Master in Illustration and Animation. It aims to explore the multidisciplinary space that involves drawing and animated image in a broad way, from the construction of narrative to the development of characters, from art theory to the critical reflection of objects. The conference privileges original, quality submissions, encouraging participation from both artists, industry and market, and the academic community.

Tipobicho, developed for children in the process of literacy in the Portuguese language, aims to investigate the formal use of typography and illustration in the construction of a playful tool. The project is composed of a book and a game, suggesting a new approach to typography, by proposing a spatial interaction with letters, transforming words into three-dimensional sculptures, with shapes corresponding to their meanings.
