Mariana Almeida, 3rd year student from the Degree in Fashion Design, recieved the 1st place at the Contest Jovens Criadores Portuguese Fashion News, which took place on May 7, at Palácio do Gelo, in Viseu.
Besides the financial award, Mariana Almeida will also present a collection in BLOOM’s edition in October, at the Fashion Show. The eight selected will also have acess to a stand at the Forum Novos Talentos, during the next edition of Modtissimo/Porto Fashion Week, on 21 and 22 September.
The jury is composed by José Carlos Castanheira from Gouveia & Campos industry, Paula Martinho da Silva, journalist from RTP, Cláudia Garrido, fashion designer, Júlio Torcato, fashion designer and Victor Hugo, fashion photographer.
The public announcement of the winners and the award ceremony will occur during the fashion show, taking place in July. The financial prizes are delivered at the stand’s assembly at the Forum Novos Talentos, in September.
