Adriana de Melo, Eduardo Bernardino and Esmeralda Dias, students of the Degree in Fashion Design, are among the 5 finalists of BLOOM / Portugal Fashion Ecodesign Competition, by Famalicão Cidade Têxtil.
This competition promotes an opportunity for new designers whose creativity is shaped by sustainable concerns. The competition is organized in partnership by CITEVE and the City Council of Vila Nova de Famalicão.
The winner will have, as a final prize, a passport to the next edition of BLOOM / Portugal Fashion, in October, where he/she will present 10 coordinated designs. In addition, financial support in the amount of 1,500 euros will be awarded for the production of the project.
One of the main purposes of this initiative is to value national creation through the practices of ecodesign, innovation in materials, processes, products and forms of communication.
The final of the competition, which took place on July 10 at the Famalicão Market Square, presented the creations of the 5 finalists of the challenge, produced from sustainable materials, provided by several local industrial partners.
