The conference Citizen Designer, by Luis Eslava Aloy, intends to portray the rules established by society, and the consequent responsibility of the designer as a citizen, rethinking the impact of the designer in relation to what he proposes and designs.
Luis Eslava Aloy studied at the Royal College of Art in London, where he began his professional career. Meanwhile, he lived in Japan, but in 2008 decided to settle in Spain, where he approaches design from a broad point of view. For him, "a designer must be able to propose a wide range of solutions", must "rethink everyday life".
With extensive experience in creating ephemeral spaces such as ROJO Show London, booth designs for Velcro®EUROPA, Velcro®EUA and Velcro®ASIA, the designer develops all types of products for companies around the world, such as Sancal Spain, Vertisol International, Martini Russia, TFK Kuwait, Tombow Japan, originals MAM, and others. In addition, Luis Eslava combines his professional practice with the position of Product Design Director at ELISAVA.
Citizen Designer takes place in ESAD's auditorium on 18 October at 2:30 pm as part of the ERASMUS + teacher mobility program.
