José Manuel Saraiva, illustrator, designer and coordinator of the Post-Graduation in Illustration and Digital Animation at ESAD, received the distinction Best of the Best in the Hiii Illustration 2021 international awards.

This award was given due to the illustration work José Manuel Saraiva did for the series Porto Ghosts.

This edition of the Hiii Illustration received 4,306 entries from over 60 countries around the world and, after three rounds of rigorous evaluation, 578 of them made it to the final list and 185 were awarded.

The Hiii Illustration International Competition is open to all illustrators, creative professionals and agencies, teachers and students from around the world, with the aim of discovering and rewarding outstanding illustration talent and work.
