Regarding the project C-MOBILE: Moving Culture, promoted by MaiaAmbiente with the purpose of alerting the community towards a sustainable development, ESAD created the Atelier Maia – Self-sustained city, with the purpose of developing graphic animation proposals for four waste gathering trucks. The idea was to explore the support as a way of expression and artistic disclosure of young creators.
Under the motto Maia – Self-sustained city, the students Afonso Borges, Diogo Matos, Lourenço Providência, Pedro Fonseca, Rafael Barbosa, Rafael Gonçalves & Chei Krew, coordinated by the lecturer Elias Marques, developed a series of eight author illustrations, emphasizing the advantages of a self-sustained development of the community and the city.
This project is the result of a collaboration between Maiamabiente and ESAD, directed towards the importance of a self-sustained community, promoting civility and environmental conscience of all the people involved.
In a broader sense, this project seeks to promote the investigation and understanding of questions regarding self-sustained development and its relation to the cities and potentiate the concept of smart city, at a local level – at school, in the house and in the community – encouraging creativity and teamwork.
The results will be presented in Maia, in April 8, around 10:30, at Praça Dr. José Vieira de Carvalho. The signature of the protocol between Maiaambiente and ESAD and the diploma ceremony will take place in the room D.Pedro IV from Paços do Concelho.
