Alexandra Ramires graduated in Painting and Laura Gonçalves in Multimedia, both at the Faculty of Fine Arts of Lisbon. They have been working in animation since 2009 and participated in numerous animated short films by Portuguese authors. In 2013 they came to Porto to join the production company Bando à Parte. In 2017, they had their directorial debut, Água Mole, which had a strong presence in international festivals (Cannes and Toronto). In 2018, they founded, together with other directors, the collective BAP - Animation Studio. In 2020, Alexandra Ramires concluded her first individual film, ELO, and Laura Gonçalves is working on her latest film, Homem do Lixo.
