Alberto tundidor sanz

Alberto Tundidor Sanz, lecturer at Escuela Superior de Diseño Valladolid (Spain), presents at ESAD an open class on H. R. Giger's illustration for Dune, by Jodorowski, under the ERASMUS+ international mobility program.

In addition to being a professor, Alberto is also a member of the International Association of Art Critics (IACA), has been a member of Aproha since 2018, was president of the Reunart Student Association in 2019, and curated the exhibition XXV Reunart at MUV in 2019.

Hans Rudolf Giger was a Swiss visual artist with works in the field of painting, sculpture, film, and communication and interior design. With a strong connection to the current of surrealism and fantastic art, H.R. Giger distinguished himself through his technique in the use of the airbrush rather than the brush. With the use of airbrushing, he took the art of the fantastic to a technical level, which made it possible to create "ultra-realistic" sceneries and environments. Later, the artist developed numerous works in 3D and new plastic processes, such as the use of xerox photocopiers to obtain new graphics. Giger was the author of one of the best known sets in the history of cinema, the Alien, which won him an Oscar.

The open class takes place on April 5, at 11:00 am, in the ESAD auditorium.
