Applications
Applications for ESAD courses are made on a pedagogical management platform, and the process of submitting information and documents can be done remotely or in person at the school's academic services.

National Exams
You can apply to the General Procedure for Admission to Higher Education if you have completed the 12th grade and hold a Secondary School Diploma or equivalent, and two of the national exams, with a grade equal to or higher than 95 points (scale 0 to 200 points):

- Descriptive Geometry (10)
- History of Culture and the Arts (12)
Under the terms of the Deliberation of the National Commission for Access to Higher Education (CNAES), applicants to the College of Art and Design (ESAD) must meet the PREREQUISITES — group F (Annex VIII) — required for application and enrolment in the 2025-26 academic year, in the 1st cycle courses in Design and Digital Arts and Multimedia.
Note: Students covered by the International Student Statute, according to Decree-Law no. 62/2018 of August 6, which amends and republishes the international student statute published by Decree-Law no. 36/2014 of March 10 and amended by Decree-Law no. 113/2014 of July 16, cannot apply through the General Admission Procedure.

- Certificate of Qualifications
At the time of enrolment you must present the original or a certified photocopy.
PREREQUISITES
- GROUP F – Visual and Motor Ability
Medical certificate, in line with Annex VIII.1, proving visual acuity and the absence of a mental, sensory or motor disability that interferes with functional capacity to the point of preventing learning by oneself or by others; to be handed in at the time of enrolment, at the ESAD office, which is an essential condition for enrolment and registration (Decree-Law no. 338/2023 of March 24).
The Medical Certificate must be handed in at the time of enrolment.
Undergraduate
